Doctor Who: Faith Stealer (#61)
|
|
|
When the Doctor, Charley and C'rizz find their journey through the
Interzone interrupted by a nightmarish vision, they are surprised to
find the Kro'ka offering the perfect solution.
The Multihaven a vast array of religions and faiths housed in one
harmonious community appears to offer the perfect sanctuary in which to
convalesce. But under the guidance of the charismatic Laan Carder, one
religion seems to be gathering disciples at an alarming rate.
With the Doctor and Charley catching glimpses of an old friend and
C'rizz on the receiving end of some unorthodox religious practices, their
belief, hope and faith are about to be tested to the limit.
It¹s time to see the light.

Episode One:
C'rizz begs L'da to kill him and she agrees. She bids her love goodbye
before opening fire...
Episode Two:
Charley thinks C'rizz is sleepwalking when he mistakes her for L'da. He
tells her he's seen the light and he wants her to see it too, she must see
the light. So much lucidity. He bids Charley goodbye before he starts
strangling her, remarking that it's a miracle...
Episode Three:
Garfolt is insistent that C'rizz opens up to him completely and begins to
probe his mind deeper. But the Director discovers something he doesn't
recognise and he continues to push further despite C'rizz's protests. What
he discovers terrifies Garfolt as he realises it is spreading to his
mind and begs to know what it is. A suddenly lucid C'rizz tells him it is
Miraculite and it is here to save them all...
Episode Four:
With the Multihaven divided between geniuses and simpletons, Jebdal muses
that with this strange state of affairs the new Bordinan will have a
difficult task ahead. The Doctor tells her that she does, doesn't she.
Jebdal isn't keen on taking on the role, but the Doctor assures her she is
honest and determined with first-hand experience of where it went wrong
the first time. She can forge a better future, but Jebdal still has
doubts. The Doctor tells her to have a little faith...
The Doctor: "He was compelled to kill the woman he loved. Now something
like that's bound to leave some psychic bruising."
Laan Carder: "All the answers are waiting for you, waiting in your dreams!"
The Bordinan's Assistant: "Are any of you carrying gods about your person?"
The Doctor: "His guilt is very much in the present. The weight of it is
crushing him."
Bishop Parrash: "Who says religion has to have a spiritual dimension?"
Jebdal: "Lucidity made them tangible and belief made them real."
Laan Carder: "The Church of Lucidity welcomes all and in the end all shall
come."
The Doctor: "If you're experiencing mental strain the last thing you need
is someone giving you a god complex."
The Doctor: "When you've met as many gods as I have there's a tendency
to become a shade blasé."
The Doctor: "The thing I've noticed about power is that it's ever so
abuser friendly."
The Doctor: "I think someone wants to turn the Multihaven into a
Monohaven."
Jebdal: "I'm through with blindly following leaders! I'll do whatever
you ask me without question."
The Doctor: "There's only a few times like the present."
