Episode One:
The robot reactivates, but when Willis threatens
it, the Doctor realises it has gone into defensive mode. Kimberly
asks what that means, and the Doctor tells her that it's going
to kill them...
Episode Two:
The Doctor is adamant that Davros survived. People
like Davros - and the Doctor for that matter - don't know any
different...
Davros: 'I have the ultimate power, the power over life and
death.'
Arnold Baynes: 'That's what separates people like us from
people like you, Pilot. You and the rest of the herd would look at
this and see nothing. We see an opportunity.'
Lorraine Baynes: 'You can't even say the name. It's Davros,
Pilot. This is the body of Davros.'
Davros: 'I am the greatest scientist! The greatest mind
Skaro has ever known.'
Lorraine Baynes: 'Don't worry, Davros, I'll keep you safe.'
The Doctor: 'If she knows Davros, then she knows that he is
one of the... No, actually, he is the most evil being this galaxy
has ever created!' Arnold Baynes: 'Are you always this
melodramatic?'
The Doctor: 'I started them. The idea of reading two rather
turgid volumes written by an apologist for the Daleks stuck in my
craw.'
Davros: 'You think I am unused to pain?'
Arnold: 'If they knew how the galaxy really worked, they'd
know it's because of people like me, not despite it. I'm the
solution, not the problem.'
Davros is the second of the loose trilogy featuring the
Doctor's past foes, and is the second DW audio script from
Lance Parkin.
Terry Molloy reprises his role as
Davros here, with Wendy Padbury,
who played the Second Doctor's companion Zoe during the Sixties,
also featuring along with Bernard
Horsfall, who appeared numerous times previously on Doctor
Who, most notably as Goth in The Deadly Assassin.
