Doctor Who: Colditz (#25)
|
|
|
October 1944: As World War II draws towards its conclusion, a Nazi defeat
begins to seem almost inevitable. But that might be about to change...
Two intruders are captured in the grounds of Colditz Castle, the most
secure POW camp in Germany. At first, the guards think they're dealing
with British spies. But the strangers arrived in an advanced travelling
machine, the like of which they've never seen before.
With this TARDIS in their hands, the Third Reich might triumph after all.

Episode One:
After stopping Kurtz from attacking the Doctor, Klein orders him to fetch
the Doctor’s companion. She then tells the Doctor that she wants his key.
He will surrender it to her. With Kurst bringing the Doctor’s friend Ace
here, he will give hand over the key to his TARDIS or Ace will be shot...
Episode Two:
The Doctor tells Klein that he should have worked it out earlier. He
doesn’t know why or how, but Klein travelled here to 1944 in the
Doctor’s TARDIS...
Episode Three:
Kurst tells Ace that her escape attempt is her last attempt at defiance.
She is an enemy of the German people and will be dealt with at such.
She asks him if he’s going to kill her then 'is that it?', to which he
replies that is indeed 'it' as he readies his gun to fire...
Episode Four:
The Doctor tells Ace that with the TARDIS he just can’t guarantee
anything any more. Ace tells him that it’s not 'Ace' anymore - it's time
to grow up. It's Dorothy McShane now.
Ace: 'If you don't know where we are, I can't be walking into one
of your big master plans, can I?'
Ace: 'What about the ropes and the escape kits? And the chapel
tunnel! What about that?' Flying Office Gower: 'You seem quite
well informed.' Ace: 'I've played the board game.'
The Doctor: 'I'm not following your plan, Klein, I'm following my
own.'
The Doctor: 'You can't just dismiss history, Klein, it's more
fragile than you could ever imagine.'
Colditz is the second audio script from
Steve Lyons, and follows The Fires Of
Vulcan by being historical in nature.
Nicholas Young, who features here as
Flying Officer Bill Young, also appears as John in Big Finish's
The Tomorrow People range.
This was David Tennant's first appearance for
Big Finish. In 2005 he would be cast as the Tenth Doctor Who for the second
series of Russell T. Davies' revival.
