In the renovated docklands of South East London, on the bank of the river
Thames, the doors of the Dusk are open for business. Bets are called,
cards are dealt and roulette wheels spun. As fortunes are won and lost,
an inhuman killer stalks the local avenues and alleyways a killer with
a taste for human flesh.
Is there more to casino owner Reggie "The Gent" Mead or is he just a
common gangster? What secrets are hidden in the bowels of the Dusk? And
what connection does the apparently sleazy Bermondsey casino have to a
long buried government initiative known as Project: Twilight?
The Doctor must form uneasy alliances where the line between friend and
enemy is blurred, playing games of chance...
But are the stakes too high?

Episode One:
Evelyn assures Cassie that the noise was probably nothing, but
it’s at that point that something emerges. Evelyn thinks it may be human,
but Cassie can’t believe that. Evelyn warns her as the creature begins to
launch it’s attack...
Episode Two:
Nimrod points the Doctor to look at the reflection of Reggie, and when
there is nothing to see the Doctor cannot believe that it’s not possible.
The Doctor suddenly realises the truth "Vampires..."
Episode Three:
With Evelyn and Cassie both being prepared for ‘treatment’ the Doctor is
trapped in a cell. He furiously tries to escape, but cannot. He can’t
believe that he’s allowed this situation to come about to his friend...
Episode Four:
Nimrod receives a call from his superior on his mobile phone. He informs
him of the situation, and that the girl left with the Doctor and the
Smythe woman. He reassures him that he’ll bring her back alive...
Cassie: 'I wonder how many other families knee-cap each other
when they loose at monopoly.'
Reggie Mead: 'You gambled and lost everything when you walked
through the door.'
The Doctor: 'Prove my faith to be misplaced and you'll
regret it.'
Nimrod: 'Your file back at the Forge made for impressive reading,
but I'm afraid in the flesh you don't live up to expectation.'
The Doctor: 'In my considerable experience, homicidal maniacs
don't tend to knock.'
The Doctor: 'Helping those creatures out there goes against
every fibre of my being. They hunted down my people wherever they fled,
enslaved entire worlds and why? Because we were fool enough to free them
from their own dimension. We unleashed their evil into the universe. It's
the duty of every Time Lord to ensure that whenever they're found, they
are hunted down and destroyed.'
Nimrod: 'Moral crusaders like you Doctor, always look for the
other way. But does that help wash away the blood that already stains
your hands.'
Project: Twilight is the first Doctor Who audio drama
written by Cavan Scott and
Mark Wright, although Wright has appeared in
several other Big Finish productions (including this one) in
various acting roles.
