Doctor Who: The Sirens Of Time (#01)
|
|
|
The Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors, together for the first time!
Gallifrey is in a state of crisis, facing destruction at the hands of
an overwhelming enemy. And the Doctor is involved, in three different
incarnations - each caught up in a deadly adventure, scattered across
time and space. The web of time is threatened - and someone wants the
Doctor dead.
The three incarnations of the Doctor must join together to set time
back on the right track - but in doing so, will they unleash a still
greater threat?

|
Episode One:
The Doctor tries to convince the bio-assassins
that he and Eleyna are innocent of involvement with Sancroff.
Although they accept this reasoning they cannot allow anyone to
witness their actions and they open fire...
Episode Two:
The Doctor escapes from the submarine, which
crash dives soon afterwards. He reaches the floating TARDIS, but
is unable to gain entry. It seems that the Time Lords really do
want the Doctor dead after all...
Episode Three:
The Temperon invades the TARDIS, trapping the
Doctor. As he battles against the Temperon's control, he is warned
that the experiment is now complete and to beware the Sirens Of
Time...
Episode Four:
With the timelines restored, the three Doctors
return to the Seventh Doctor's TARDIS, who will take them back to
their own time streams. The cries for help continue, but this
time they're left unanswered.
Kalfedoran:'We have always considered your continued
existence a moral abhorrence. Revenge is the only antidote to the
suffering you inflicted.'
Captain Schweiger: 'What are these clothes your wearing?
You look like your King George expecting to play cricket in the
Atlantic ocean.'
Co-ordinator Vansell: 'Good intentions won't save us!'
The Doctor: 'The Time Lords really do want me dead!'
The Doctor: 'I can assure you that if you knew me well enough,
you'd know that I'm hardly ever mistaken.'
The Doctor: 'Because when it comes down to it, I’m a bit of a
know it all really. Androids, Cybermen, Daleks, Sontarans, Ice
Warriors! You name it, I can quote you chapter and verse.'
Knight Commander Lyena: 'The different facets of the same
personality. One is the thinker, one the compassionate, the other
impatient; yet you all share these qualities too.'
The Seventh Doctor: 'Do you know, talking to yourself is
often thought to be the first sign of madness?' The Sixth
Doctor: 'Yes, but a little madness helps, don’t you think?'
This story, as the cover blurb proudly proclaims, was the first time
that Sylvester McCoy,
Peter Davison and
Colin Baker appeared together in a
production where all three were playing their respective Doctors.
It's also notable for the first appearance of
Maggie Stables in a Doctor Who
story, who would later go on to play Doctor Evelyn Smythe, the
Sixth Doctor's new audio companion.
Many of the actors and actresses featured in this story would
return to the Doctor Who series in other roles in subsequent
productions, notably Sarah Mowat and
Mark Gatiss.
